We all got back from the Easter break, although the market seems to still be feeling the blues 🙈. But hey; some fireworks could pop before the month ends.
Speaking of the markets, last week was another big one for crypto adoption in different ways 💪. Read on to find out who took home big wins.
Catching Them Young 🎓
Remember when we all had to go to school and learn math and science? Well, it looks like the next generation will have crypto classes too! 😃
This year already, several of the world’s top universities – including Harvard University and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) – have added different crypto and blockchain courses to their curricula 📚.
By the way, if you’re trying to get started in crypto, why not check our Quidax Crypto Academy? 🙂 We’ve got a lot of sweet courses you could take, and you could become a full-fledged Crypto Bro in less than two hours!
The Year Of Terra 🚀
The Terra ecosystem has been one of the most exciting in the crypto space this year. And last week, it hit another huge milestone. Terra’s main stablecoin – UST – became the third-most valuable stablecoin in the market 🤯.
UST is now behind just Tether (USDT) and USDC as the most valuable stablecoin. Do you think it has what it takes to become #1?
Apple Users, Beware ⚠️
If you use MetaMask on an Apple device, then you might want to be careful 🤔. Last week, the wallet manufacturer warned users on Twitter that iCloud backups for app data could put wallets’ private keys at risk.
MetaMask recommends using a strong password for your wallet 🔐. Also, you can disable automatic iCloud updates for your wallet by going to:
Settings > Profile > iCloud > Manage Storage > Backups
Crypto For Movies 🍿
Last week was another big one for crypto wins! AMC Theaters – one of the most popular cinema owners – launched its mobile app. The app allows people to pay for movies using Bitcoin (BTC), Dogecoin (DOGE), Shiba Inu (SHIB), and more coins 👏.
The feature is only available for American users for now, but AMC has said they’ll expand it soon. Anybody want to watch The Batman this weekend? 🙃
Surf The (Crypto) Web 🌐
Thought we were done with adoption news? No! Last week, Opera launched the iOS version of its Web3 browser. The browser comes with a built-in crypto wallet, so users can surf the web and even check out some decentralized finance (DeFi) apps 🤌.
The Opera Web3 browser is now available for iPhones and iPads. There’s a Windows version of it out already, but Android users will get their fix soon ⏳.
